PT Biz Success Story
Mike Yasson, Owner of Big League Performance & RehabĀ
He thought big and started acting like a serious clinic owner.
Meet Mike. At 16, a curveball thrown too hard ended his baseball season and introduced him to PT for the first time, planting a seed that would shape everything that followed. After interning with the New York Yankees and working at a high-volume orthopedic practice in Manhattan, the contrast between the two experiences was impossible to ignore. The Yankees offered him a full-time role and he took it, but as his late twenties approached, the hotel rooms, the job insecurity, the minor league pay, and the distance from the people he loved started to outweigh the excitement. He made a decision: instead of following people around the country, he'd build something that made them come to him.
There was a running joke in the clubhouse about which players got the "big league treatment," the top prospects, the ones who got the best of everything. Mike couldn't stop thinking about why that level of care should be reserved for a select few. He launched Big League Performance and Rehab in October of 2017 and went full-time eleven months later, a leap made possible in large part by joining the PT Biz Mastermind. Within a week of his first call he had a game plan. At his first live event he found something he didn't expect, a community of clinicians across the country doing exactly what he was doing, facing the same challenges, asking the same questions.
Today Big League is built around one core value: community. Mike wants every patient who walks through the door to feel calm, confident, and empowered, the opposite of what most people feel navigating the healthcare system. He runs his business the way he used to stand on the mound: even-keeled, consistent, never too high or too low. He's unemployable by his own admission, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
